De drie scholen (Openbaar, Protestants-Christelijk en Katholiek) in de wijk Nieuwland bij Amersfoort kregen ieder een beeld in de vorm van een zuil (als stapeling van drie elementen: voetstuk, middendeel en kapiteel) waarin de identiteit van de school tot uitdruking moest komen. Om de kenmerken en uitgangspunten in een beeld om te zetten is er nauw samengewerkt met de leerlingen en het personeel van iedere school.

The three primary schools (Public, Protestant Christian and Catholic) in the Nieuwland district in Amersfoort each got a sculpture in the shape of a column (like a stack of three elements: base, column and capital) that should express the school’s identity. To represent the characteristics and basics in an image there was a close cooperation with the pupils and staff of each school.
